How to Replace the Starter Motor on Jeep CJ

This guide shows how to replace the starter motor on Jeep CJ (Civilian Jeep). These models often have starter operation issues. The first step is to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to isolate the circuit. On the left side of the engine, under the battery, you will see the starter motor; it is held in place by two bolts that need to be removed after disconnecting the control cable. This operation must be performed from underneath the vehicle, after securing it. Replacing it with the new part is straightforward: simply align the new part with the corresponding hole in the flywheel housing and reinstall it in the same position as the previous one. Refit the two bolts and the control cable. Reconnect the battery and try to start the engine. The replacement is now complete.
