To replace the battery in the key fob of a Jeep Compass, press the button located on the side of the device to extract the key. Once this is removed, you can open the key fob: it is advisable to use an object that can act as a lever to make the operation easier. When the key fob is open, use the same object to remove the old battery from its housing and replace it with a new one. Finally, close the device and reinsert the key.
