How to Replace the Battery in a Jeep Compass Remote Key?

To replace the battery in a Jeep Compass remote key, lower the switch located at the top of the remote so that the chrome part to which the emergency key is attached can be removed. After removal, pry inside the key slot to separate the two halves of the remote and access the battery. Once the battery is removed, you can replace it with a new spare part. After installing the new battery, close the remote and insert the key back into its housing.
