To replace the remote battery on a Jeep Compass, activate the switch located on the back of the device so that the key and its cover can be extracted from the top. This will allow you to lever inside the key housing, enabling you to open the remote and extract the battery inside. Once removed, replace it with a new spare part and close the two halves of the remote, inserting the key back into the top.
