How to replace the battery in the Jeep Compass key

Let's see how to change the battery in a Jeep Compass key. First, press the metal button on the outer edge, where the logo is, to release the physical key. Using this key, lever it open to split the remote control casing. On one side, you will find the button cell battery. Use a small screwdriver or a paperclip to pry it out of its housing. It is a common CR 2032 battery, which you can find for a few pounds at any newsagent or supermarket. Place the new battery in its slot (ensuring the polarity is correct), close the remote control, and reinsert the physical key. Job done.
