In this video tutorial, we can see how to replace the oil filter and engine oil and how to reset the oil warning light on a Jeep Compass. The first thing to do is to lift the hood and secure it with a special rod; lift the car with a hydraulic jack and put safety stands in place. Unscrew the drain plug and place a container under the oil pan, waiting for all the oil to flow into the container for disposal; meanwhile, unscrew the old oil filter and replace it with a new one; screw on the drain plug, lower the car, unscrew the oil filler cap, and add the correct amount of oil using a funnel (check the vehicle's owner's manual). To reset the oil warning light, get into the car, close all the doors, insert the key, and turn on only the ignition, then press the accelerator pedal and brake pedal five times, then start the engine.
