Replacement of Shock Absorbers on Lancia Cars

Model: Lancia Ypsilon Y1, Ypsilon 1, MK 1, 840 - Years 1996-2003

Loosen the bolts of the affected wheel, lift the car with a jack, and remove the wheel. Disconnect the two wires connected to the disc (one relates to the ABS and needs to be removed with an Allen key), then unscrew the two screws that fix the shock absorber to the front hub, and finally unscrew the upper screw of the shock absorber. Use a 6 mm Allen key and a 19 mm spanner to unscrew the shock absorber stem, as shown in the video. Once done, you can remove the upper cover. Slide the shock absorber out of its seat and insert the new one, proceeding in reverse for reassembly.
