How to Disable the Passenger Airbag on the Lancia Ypsilon

If a child car seat needs to be installed on the front passenger seat, the passenger airbag must be disabled and then reactivated after its removal; this operation, indicated by the relevant yellow light on the instrument cluster display, is performed using the menu buttons located on the central console, to the left of the parking indicator button (on older models, a key was used to insert into a lock located in the glove compartment or beside the dashboard); press the SET button to enter the menu, scroll through the options with the side buttons until you access the passenger airbag activation command and confirm with the SET button.
