Change Engine Oil on the Freelander

How to change the engine oil on the Freelander? Open the engine bay and lift the front bonnet. Raise the vehicle on a column lift or a jack and remove the plastic undertray. Unscrew the bolt from the oil sump to allow the oil to drain into a container for future disposal. After all the oil has drained, refit the bolt in the oil sump. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the black oil filter cap: remove the old filter and insert the new one. Top up the engine with new oil. Close the front bonnet after maintenance.
