How to remove the gear knob of an automatic Range Rover L320

In this video, we can see how it is possible to easily remove the gear shift knob of a Land Rover Range Rover Sport L320. We start the engine and with the car stopped, we move the gear shift lever to the neutral position; at this point, we turn off the engine and pull the knob with all our strength upwards, in order to remove the knob from the shaft. Normally, it comes off without too much difficulty and nothing breaks even when applying significant force: these are sturdy materials. We can find a replacement leather knob, for example on Auto-doc under article 3707A0004 at a price of 3.49 euros (+9.90 euros for shipping).
