To replace the air filter on a Lincoln MKZ, open the hood to access the components inside the engine compartment. The box containing the filter is located at the bottom left, near the front headlight of the car. You will need to open the box by releasing the clips that secure the cover, then lift the cover and remove the filter inside. Once the old filter is removed, insert the new one into its place, secure the cover, and close the hood.
