How to replace the engine oil and oil filter of the Lotus Elise

Today we will see the steps on how to carry out the routine maintenance service, replacing the engine oil and oil filter, of the Lotus Elise. First, lift the vehicle and start by removing the lower engine cover, unscrewing all the fixing screws; then unscrew the drain plug located on the sump, letting the oil drain into a container for about ten minutes. At this point, remove the cartridge of the engine oil filter, unscrewing it with the appropriate key, replacing it with the new original one; all that's left is to top up with the new engine oil, having the specifications indicated in the owner's manual.
