Operation: How to replace the front axle shaft of the Maruti 800

Today we will see, in this short and simple guide, how to disassemble and replace the front axle shaft of the Maruti 800, following the instructions below. First of all we raise the car and start unscrewing the central bolt of the wheel hub; then we use a lever to release the drive shaft from the transmission, letting the gear oil drain into a container, as shown in the video. At this point we remove the front axle shaft, replacing it with the new one; let's insert it correctly on the transmission and on the wheel hub, fixing it correctly, filling the gear oil!

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother.
