Where is the OBD port located in the Maruti 800?

The OBD2 port or diagnostic socket on a Maruti 800 vehicle is located inside the cabin, specifically under the steering wheel near the fuse box. Unlike other vehicles, in the Maruti 800 the port is black in color but still easily identifiable due to its unusual position. The OBD2 port, which has become mandatory, is used to connect a vehicle to a diagnostic scanner; this scanner allows us to reset warning lights once they are on, but also to solve issues that are not detectable by the human eye, such as a malfunction in the engine control unit.
