In this video, we will see how to manually open the rear hatch of a Mazda CX-5 in case the car battery or the remote battery is dead. In this case, the hatch will not open, and we will need to intervene manually. Like all modern vehicles, the hatch can be opened from the inside, so we will need to unlock the car using the emergency key contained in the remote, which is used from the driver's side. Then, we will slide inside by folding down the rear seats, and once inside the trunk, we will see a kind of small panel inside the trunk. Let's open it with a small screwdriver, and inside we will find the lock for the hatch. By pulling it to the right, we will be able to open the hatch.
