Today, you will learn how to independently perform the reset procedure for the oil light on a 2018 Mazda CX-5. The reset procedure should always be performed after changing the engine oil or topping up the engine oil, depending on the colour of the light.

Turn on the instrument cluster and the vehicle's onboard computer; using the joystick located on the lower dashboard, access the "vehicle" option to view all the vehicle settings.

Select the "maintenance" option and then select the "reset engine oil" option. You will notice that the light will turn off on the display and that the mileage until the next engine oil change will have been automatically updated.

To conclude, simply restart the instrument cluster.
