Each key fob contains a small battery that powers the electronic circuit of the transmitter. When this battery runs out, it becomes impossible to open and close the doors remotely. Fortunately, using the mechanical key, you can access the vehicle. Replacing the battery is simple; use a small tool to open the transmitter cover, separate the two plastic halves, remove the battery, and replace it with a new one of the same specifications. Clean the battery with a clean cloth and insert it without touching it with your hands. These batteries are available at any supermarket; dispose of the old battery in designated battery recycling bins.
