Removing and Replacing the Headlamp

Model: Mazda 6 GG, MK 1 - Years 2002-2008

The following is a task that can be performed with a few common tools; it is not technically difficult. To remove the headlamp, you need to take off the front bumper, which is secured to the chassis with screws and various clips. You will need to lie under the bumper to unscrew the screws; this can also be done using a Torx screwdriver. After removing the screws, take out the clips that are visible when opening the bonnet. Then, remove the side bolts located in front of the front wheels. Once the bumper is removed, you will be left with a bare vehicle. Remove the trim located under the headlamp, then lift the tab and disconnect the connectors attached to the headlamp.
