Mazda 3 - Video tutorial

Model: Mazda 3 BM, MK 3, BN - Years 2013-2019
Part: Battery
Operation: To reset the i-stop function of the Mazda 3.

To reset the "i-stop" warning light on the Mazda 3, start by turning on the instrument panel and then starting the car's engine. Once the engine is running, you will notice that the "i-stop" warning light on the tachometer flashes red. You will also see two errors on the infotainment display, including the start and stop (i-stop) and battery error. To fix these two errors, simply replace the vehicle's battery. Start by unscrewing the positive and negative terminal clamps, then unscrew the bolts on the bracket holding the battery in place. Once the old battery is removed, take the new battery with the "start and stop" function and place it in its slot. Screw the bolts on the bracket to secure the battery, reattach the battery terminals, turn on the instrument panel and the car's engine. You will notice that the "i-stop" warning light remains solid green and the error messages on the infotainment display have disappeared.
