How to Disable the i-stop on a Mazda

In this video, you will see how to disable the i-stop function on a Mazda. The i-stop function is the same as what is referred to as "Start & Stop" on other vehicles and is designed to improve fuel efficiency by turning off the engine when the vehicle comes to a complete stop, while keeping the engine ready for a quick restart. So, when you lift your foot off the brake, the engine restarts almost instantly. To temporarily disable it, press the "I-stop off" switch located to the right of the steering wheel, which will light up to remind you that the function is disabled. Keep in mind that the system automatically reactivates every time the vehicle is restarted.
