In this video, discover how the Mazda i-stop system works: the stop reduces both emissions and fuel consumption. With a manual gearbox, this occurs by pressing the brake and clutch pedals: the engine automatically shuts off and restarts by pressing the accelerator; in vehicles with an automatic gearbox, simply press the brake, and once released, the vehicle restarts automatically with the lever in "D" position.

When the green "i-stop" indicator is visible, it means the function is active. For it to work correctly, several requirements must be met. For example, the battery must be sufficiently charged, the outside temperature must not be extreme, the climate control must not be at maximum, the vehicle must not be on a steep incline, and it must be on a flat surface, with seat belts properly fastened.

Of course, you can disable this function by simply pressing the button, and the "i-stop" light will illuminate in yellow. In any case, the system automatically restarts when the vehicle is turned back on, or from the multifunction display.
