How do you reset the automatic gearbox of the Mercedes C-Class?

Inside the Mercedes C-Class, the automatic transmission can be reset by turning on the instrument panel, turning the key inside the corresponding ignition block: once the instrument panel is on, you must hold down the accelerator pedal for about twenty seconds. After this interval of time, you can release the accelerator pedal and then turn off the instrument panel. Once it is turned on again, you can verify that the car's automatic transmission has been correctly reset to the default settings.
