How do you reset the automatic transmission of the Mercedes E-Class?

On the Mercedes E-Class, the automatic transmission can be reset by turning on the instrument panel and then turning the ignition key in the corresponding slot: once the instrument panel is on, you can hold down the accelerator pedal for about thirty seconds. Then you will need to turn off the instrument panel and release the pedal; once this operation has been performed, you will need to wait a few minutes before starting the car again. At this point, once the engine is started, you can drive for about fifteen minutes, so that the transmission can adapt to the new settings.
