How to remove the fuel pump on a Mercedes C-Class? First, disconnect the battery cables. Then, remove the rear seat cushions from the car. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws securing the metal cover and take it out of its place. Use absorbent paper around the perimeter to soak up any fluid leaks. Use a chisel to unscrew the large securing pin of the fuel pump, disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation hoses. Extract the floating fuel pump from its housing along with the attached parts. Finally, install a new piece.
