How to remove the power steering pump on a Mercedes C-Class. Open the hood and secure it, then remove the screws and take off the air intake (as shown in the video). Locate the part to work on: unscrew the bolts with a socket wrench, being careful not to damage the wiring harness membranes. Lift the car with a column lift and remove the plastic under shield; unscrew all the mounting bolts of the power steering pump. Once the disassembly is complete, pull the part out of the engine compartment and prepare to install the new part. Insert the new pump into the appropriate housing, screw in the mounting bolts, then tighten the pump bolts.
