How to Remove the Radiator from a Mercedes E-Class

Replacing the cooling radiator on a Mercedes E-Class. Open the hood, and using a suitable socket wrench, remove the plates that secure the radiator at the top (remove the front grille). Then, lift the car on a column lift and loosen the hose clamp on the water hose. Disconnect the various hoses of the cooling system with pliers, (unscrew the latch that secures the hood if it obstructs removal). Once free from screws and hoses, you can extract the fan assembly (if necessary) and then the radiator from the engine compartment. Prepare to install the new part in the engine compartment: install the cooling fans, clamps, pins, and various hoses. Reinstall the radiator's mounting brackets with the associated plates. Tighten the plastics and the front grille securely with a socket wrench.
