How to Replace the Timing Chain on a Mercedes E-Class?

Before replacing the timing chain on a Mercedes E-Class, remove some obstructing components in the engine compartment, such as the right front headlight and the radiator. Once these are removed, you can access the cover on the side of the engine, which can be detached to access the chain and the associated sprockets. By loosening the tensioner, the timing chain can be removed from its housing and replaced with a new part. After installing the new chain, reattach the cover, headlight, and radiator.
