How to Change the Battery in a Mercedes A-Class

To replace the battery in a Mercedes-Benz A-Class, open the hood and locate the battery in the engine compartment, usually on the right side under a plastic cover. Remove the cover, then disconnect the negative terminal (–) first, followed by the positive (+). Unscrew the mounting bracket and carefully remove the battery. Insert the new battery with the same specifications (often AGM), secure it properly, and reconnect the positive terminal first, then the negative. Reattach the cover and check the ignition. On these models, it may be necessary to register the new battery using electronic diagnostics.
