How to Replace the Rear Brake Pads on a Mercedes C-Class

To replace the rear brake pads on a Mercedes C-Class, safely lift the rear of the vehicle and remove the rear wheels. Locate the brake caliper and unscrew the rear mounting bolts using an appropriate wrench. Then lift the caliper, being careful not to strain the brake line. Remove the old pads from the bracket and check the condition of the brake rotor. Before installing the new pads, compress the caliper piston with a special tool to create enough space. Then insert the new pads into their slots and reassemble the caliper, tightening the bolts securely. Repeat the process on the other side, reattach the wheels, and lower the vehicle. Finally, press the brake pedal several times before driving to restore pressure in the braking system.
