How to Remove the Front Bumper and Left Headlight on a Mercedes GLE DIY

To remove the left front headlight on the Mercedes GLE, start by securing the vehicle, opening the hood, and turning the front wheel to access the wheel well. Remove the screws and clips from the inner trim and the lower underbody, freeing the side and lower mounts of the bumper. From the engine compartment, unscrew the upper mounting points of the grille and bumper; then unclip the sides and slide the bumper forward, disconnecting the connectors. With the front exposed, locate the headlight mounting screws, unscrew them, disconnect the rear wiring, and pull the headlight assembly outwards. Reassembly is the reverse, realigning the bumper, underbody, and wheel well.
