How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter in a Mercedes Vito

To replace the engine oil and filter in a Mercedes Vito, bring the engine to operating temperature and switch it off. After safely lifting the vehicle, unscrew the drain plug from the oil sump and allow the used lubricant to fully drain into a suitable container. Next, remove the oil filter, replace the filter element or the complete filter depending on the engine type, and lubricate the seal of the new component with a thin layer of clean oil before installation. Once the drain plug is reinstalled with the appropriate seal, fill the engine with oil as specified by the manufacturer. Finally, start the engine, check for leaks, and verify the oil level, topping up if necessary.
