How to Use Launch Control on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class W204

Let's see how to use Launch Control on the Mercedes-Benz C-Class W204 (especially on models with automatic transmission and Sport/Sport+ mode as shown in the video). The key prerequisites are: the engine at operating temperature; automatic transmission (it does not work with manual); a fully charged battery; stable traction system (ESP off); at least 1/4 tank of fuel. Start the engine and put the transmission in Drive or Sport, activating the mode with the button near the gear selector (on some versions, the word Sport will appear on the cluster); deactivate the ESP: with your left foot, press the brake fully; with your right foot, press the accelerator fully (to the kick-down point). The engine RPM will rise and stabilize around 2000/3500 RPM, and the screen may display "hold" as in the video. Immediately release the brake while keeping the accelerator fully pressed, and the car will launch into maximum acceleration.
