Removing the starter motor on a Mercedes C-Class? Follow this guide to take it apart. Disconnect the battery power cables. Remove the engine soundproofing panel along with the attached wires. Take off the air filter, then disconnect the starter motor power terminals using pliers or a screwdriver depending on the pressure of the tabs. Use a socket wrench to remove the starter motor mounting bolts. After removing the damaged starter, install the new part by connecting the power cables and securing it with the included screws.
