How to Replace the Fuel Filter on a Mercedes E-Class?

To replace the fuel filter on a Mercedes E-Class, open the hood and remove the bolts securing the plastic cover over the engine head. Next, use a screwdriver to pry off the hoses from the fuel filter and, with the same screwdriver, loosen the mounting bolts of the filter. At this point, it can be extracted from its housing, which is located at the top of the engine, just below the windshield. Once the old filter is removed, you can install the new one and reassemble all the previously removed parts.
