Checking the Automatic Transmission Oil Level

To check the automatic transmission oil level, you need a specific dipstick as there is no level check stick, only a cap. Once you open the front bonnet, at the rear of the engine bay, in a central position, you can find a cap with a red plastic safety clip that closes the oil level check point for the automatic transmission; after removing the safety clip and the cap, insert the dipstick to check the level and verify its condition: generally, the level remains constant unless there are any leaks. Depending on the mileage and the condition of the oil, it may be advisable to consider replacing the transmission oil and flushing the system.
