In order to reset and factory reset the automatic transmission on the Mercedes E-Class it is necessary to proceed as follows: access the driver's seat, turn the key and turn on the ignition (do not start the engine), press the pedal of the throttle all the way down and keep it pressed for at least 30 seconds (in these seconds a self-diagnosis system is activated on the transmission); after 30 seconds, turn the key, turn off the ignition and after a few seconds release the accelerator pedal, at which point wait at least 2 minutes with the ignition off. At that point the reset will be completed.
