Tip for Draining the Fuel Tank

Model: Mercedes Sprinter MK 2, W906 - Years 2006-2018

This video demonstrates a very simple method to drain the fuel tank, in case you need to replace it or, in the worst-case scenario, if an incorrect type of fuel has been introduced. First, remove the air filter by disconnecting the red knob on the left and the oil filler pipe on the right. Then, unscrew the intake pipe and the connectors. Now, detach the entire air filter housing from its supports. Next, remove the plastic cover from above the engine. Locate the fuel filter using the images provided. Disconnect the left pipe coming from the tank and using a short piece of rigid pipe, attach a second rubber hose that you will place into a collection container. Now, simply turn the ignition key and allow the pump to drain the fuel from the tank until you deem it appropriate. Car model: Mercedes Benz Sprinter 516
Required tools: flat screwdriver, a short metal pipe, and a rubber fuel hose, large container for liquids.
