In rare cases, the steering wheel may remain locked even when inserting the key and pressing the clutch. This may indicate an electrical failure in the electric steering lock, preventing the engine from starting. This lock is located behind the steering column. You will need to disassemble the column to access it. Start by disconnecting the airbag, then remove the steering wheel and the turn signal switch assembly. Remove the trim around the instrument cluster to access the mounting pins of the steering column. To complete the removal, you will need to take out the mounting pin of the steering box coupler.
