Replacing the glow plugs in a Mercedes M-Class is straightforward; follow this tutorial. First, clean the top of the engine thoroughly and spray some penetrating oil on the glow plugs. While this takes effect, disconnect the various power cables using a flathead screwdriver and pliers. Next, using a 10mm glow plug socket, begin unscrewing them carefully without applying excessive force. Once the replacement glow plugs are inserted, tighten them using a torque wrench set to 10 Nm.
