To replace the battery in the key fob of a Mercedes A-Class, start by removing the black plastic panel on the back of the device. Once this cover is removed, you can slide out the side compartment of the key, which contains the battery. After removing the compartment, take out the old battery and replace it with a new one. Then, insert the new battery into the compartment, place it back into the key fob, and close it with the rear plastic panel.
