How to Remove the Airbag from the Mercedes B-Class

Removing the airbag from the Mercedes B-Class, produced from 2011 to 2019, is a fairly simple operation that can be done by skilled hands. It is advisable not to attempt this operation alone due to the danger of the airbag deploying unexpectedly. Start the removal by taking off the rigid plastic parts that make up the steering wheel using some plastic levers. Once these pieces are removed, proceed to unscrew the bolts securing the steering wheel and remove it from its position. Next, disconnect the airbag wiring by removing the inner plastic part of the steering column. Once the wiring is disconnected, you can remove the airbag from its housing.
