Replacement of V-Belt

The V-belt, also known as the auxiliary belt, is driven by the crankshaft pulley and powers the auxiliary components such as the power steering pump, alternator, air conditioning compressor, and water pump, passing through idler pulleys including that of the tensioner. To replace this belt, it is advisable to note its routing between the various pulleys with a sketch or a photo. Then, loosen the tensioner to remove the old belt, compare it with the new one (length and number of grooves), and route the new belt through the pulleys before tensioning it with the tensioner.
