- Years 2004-2012 In order to replace the gearbox oil of the Mercedes Classe A, you need to loosen the screw that secures the drain plug of the gearbox oil tank: this way it will be possible to drain all the used oil into a properly positioned container. After the oil has completely drained, you can close the drain plug in the lower part of the engine compartment, in order to open the hood and access its upper part: here you can find the vent for topping up the gearbox oil, into which you will need to insert the necessary amount of oil.
