Remove the Shock Absorbers from Your Car

When your car has traveled many miles, it is necessary to replace the shock absorbers that slow down the suspension. The replacement process is complex but can be done independently, without needing to visit your trusted mechanic. Loosen the bolts and lift the car with a jack. Once all the bolts are removed, you can take off the wheel. Next, open the hood and remove all the screws found above the shock absorber mount. Then, remove the two screws located on the spindle and the one positioned on the stabilizer, which runs parallel to the "affected" shock absorber. The shock absorber will then come off easily.
