Replacing the Coolant in the Mercedes C-Class

Over time and mileage, the coolant in the Mercedes C-Class loses efficiency and must be replaced to ensure the cooling system operates effectively. Open the hood and remove the cap from the expansion tank. Go under the vehicle and remove the underbody panel on the driver's side near the wheel. Locate the drain valve of the system, place a container underneath to catch the old coolant, and using pliers, open the valve to let the system drain. Once drained, close the valve, reinstall the panels, and refill the system using the coolant specified by Mercedes.
