How to open the front hood of the Mini car? We open the car door and unlock the front hood release lever. Raise the bonnet a little and pull the release lever to the left. Once the engine hood is unlocked, lift it up and secure it with the locking rod. Once the bonnet is open, we can carry out maintenance on the car. To close the hood, simply remove the safety rod and drop the hood down from a minimum height. Let us be sure of the due closure of the same at the end of the block.
