How to Change the Engine Oil on a Mini Cooper

Model: Mini Mini R53, R52, R50 - Years 2001-2007

Before you can start, open the front bonnet of your Mini Cooper. Begin by unscrewing and removing the top cap where you add the engine oil. Next, lift the front of your vehicle. Once done, you will have access to the lower drain nut, which you need to unscrew and remove to let all the engine oil drain out. When the oil has completely drained, screw the lower cap back on, then lower the front. At this point, you need to add the new oil through the top hole. Once you have completed this step, screw the respective cap back on, and the replacement will be finished.
