How to install the steering wheel spacer on a Mini Cooper S.

In this video, we see how to install the steering wheel spacer on a Mini: first, we disconnect the negative pole of the battery. Using a flathead screwdriver with a ground tip, we release the airbag through the two small holes on the extreme sides of the steering wheel. We remove the two electrical connectors of the airbag, and then we begin with those of the steering wheel: there is a large one on the left and one on the right. We then loosen the central screw and check that the steering wheel moves freely and is not stuck. The spacer can be found on spacershop for 245.00 euros and is perfectly compatible; it also includes the wiring for extending the wires. (A cheaper option, but more elaborate for installation, can be found on Amazon for 25.65 euros, code B0957CN355 with free delivery for Prime customers). The installation here is very simple; reconnect the wires, being careful because the spaces are very small. Close the central key and then reconnect the airbag. Connect the connectors and then put the airbag back in place, it is an easy job but requires a lot of patience.
