It may happen that the charging cable on the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross gets stuck in the car's socket after a full charge, preventing disconnection and thus driving. Common causes include outdated software, a system bug that occurs when the battery is fully charged and the cable remains connected for many hours beyond 100%; in this case, remote pre-heating/cooling is activated. More rarely, a mechanical/electronic failure of the locking mechanism may occur. The most immediate solution is to locate the toolkit in the boot (under the load area), find the L-shaped metal bar, open the service flap located on the front bumper, passenger side (near the charging socket). Insert the hooked end of the tool into the hole behind the flap, gently pull outward: you will hear a mechanical click. This will allow you to remove the charging connector. This does not solve the problem at its root but addresses the emergency.
