Keeping the spark plugs efficient is essential for ensuring optimal engine performance, both in terms of power and fuel consumption. To replace them, ensure the engine is cold and open the front bonnet. Then, remove the plastic cover on the engine, disconnect the ignition coil power connectors, unscrew the fixing screws of the coils, and before extracting the leads, it is advisable to blow compressed air to eliminate any debris that could enter the cylinders during the spark plug removal. Next, extract the leads, unscrew the spark plugs using the appropriate socket, apply copper grease to the threads of the new spark plugs, screw them in without exceeding the torque specification, and refit the leads, coils, and cover.
